Hello, I'm Christelle Van Dyk, and I'm the proud mother of my beautiful daughter, Nikita Beverley Burger.

Since Nikita was born on 20 November 2022, our lives have revolved around hospital visits, specialist appointments, MRI and CT scans as doctors work to understand her condition and give her the best possible future.

Like any parent, my greatest wish is simply to see my daughter grow up able to play, learn and attend school without pain.

While this campaign began to help fund Nikita's MRI, her medical journey has continued. Today, we're raising funds to help cover the ongoing costs of her scans, specialist appointments, treatment and hospital visits as doctors work towards the best possible outcome for her.

Her next MRI and CT scans are scheduled for 25 August 2026, helping her medical team determine the next steps in her treatment, including whether surgery is the right option.
