Niké's Memory, Marné's Tomorrow

I am writing this on behalf of my best friend, Niké Müller, whose sudden passing has left a young father and daughter facing an unimaginable new reality.

Niké was just 27 years when she passed away on the 14th of March 2025 due to complications during a routine blood transfusion. She and her husband, Marco, were both dedicated teachers, passionate, humble, and full of love for their little girl, Marné. They had weathered so much already. Marné, a miracle micro preemie born at just 630 grams, spent 225 days in NICU. Niké and Marco never missed a day by her side, travelling from Springs to Pretoria every day, even while juggling full time teaching jobs and growing medical bills.

When Niké was diagnosed with cancer last year of 2024, they continued fighting together, holding onto faith and love. Her passing has shattered their world. Marco is now raising their three year old daughter alone, facing not only emotional devastation, but immense financial pressure.
