On the 24th of June, our son Noah Isaacs was admitted to Life Beacon Bay Hospital in East London after blood tests revealed that Noah's body is not producing any red or white blood cells or platelets. His counts were so low that initially, the doctors suspected he had Leukemia. After a bone marrow biopsy, they confirmed it's not Leukemia.

A second bone marrow biopsy a week later showed major improvement, and the doctors thought it might be just an infection that has started to clear up because after countless tests, nothing revealed what was wrong with Noah.

On the 9th of August 2023, after a 3rd bone marrow biopsy, Noah was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia.

Aplastic anemia is a condition that occurs when the body stops producing enough new blood cells, meaning the bone marrow has failed and no longer works as it should. This condition leaves him fatigued and more prone to infections and uncontrolled bleeding.

We were devastated by this diagnosis but continue to trust God to perform a great miracle in Noah's life.
