After Losing our first born Daniel at almost 5 months old due to being born premature and never leaving hospital. We fell pregnant with our rainbow boy Nolan. We were over the moon.
At 20 weeks into my pregnancy we found out that Nolan will be born with a cleft lip and that he has a problem with his cerebellum.
At 23 weeks we went to a fetal specialist where she confirmed the same problem and suggested that we terminate
We decided against it after losing out first one and feeling your rainbow baby alive and kicking we trusted God and gave our baby a fair chance.
He was born on my Birthday 13 January 2022 healthy and strong with a cleft lip and he looked like a normal baby
Everything went well until 3 months old when he refused his bottle no matter how hungry he was and we did an MRI of his brain and there it was confirmed that Nolan has cerebral hypoplasia (his brain is smaller than normal) they saw a cyst but expressed no concerns and said it will go away by itself. They said Nolan will be delayed and he is going to be retarded
