Nourishing Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in South Africa

Helping children rise from multidimensional poverty into possibility

At Mom’s House for Children, our mission is simple yet powerful — to love the children and unite the world through tangible, lasting change.

We provide food, clean water, and educational enrichment to orphaned and vulnerable children living in multidimensional poverty — children who face daily challenges no child should ever endure.

At the Care Center in Somerset, in the rural region of Mpumalanga, South Africa, children gather each afternoon after school for nourishment, friendship, and care. While the South African government provides a basic breakfast program started under Nelson Mandela’s leadership, these meals are often very small. Without the support of Mom’s House, many children would go without a proper meal for the rest of the day.

Here, love takes the form of nutrition, clean water, educational enrichment, and care. Here, hope grows — one seed, one smile, one community at a time.
