Nourish the Trail

On the 25th of May, I will be taking on The Beast - a 30km trail running race with over 1800m of elevation for Love in a Bowl.

Love in a Bowl is a magical collaborative initiative that grows organic vegetables, with a clear vision of zero hunger in our community. The mission is to cultivate love, health and sustainability through organic farming practices.

This year, Love in a Bowl hopes to expand their kitchen space to be able to cook daily meals for the most vulnerable in the valley. Currently, Love in a Bowl supports 26 early Childhood Development Centres with fresh veggies and dry goods. Their goal to be able to provide healthy, cooked meals to those depending on these centres. 

This race will take me on some of the most beautiful and challenging sections of the Table Mountain National Park, starting at Forrester's Arm and opening with the ascent of Nursery Ravine, through Echo Valley and up to Maclear's Beacon.
