NWU Student funding

I come from a Township in Durban, KZN.

I am the first person in my family to attend university, so this degree is not just for myself but to also make my family proud. I chose to get into CA because I fell in love with the world of finance and investing, additionally I chose this path because I believed it would secure me financial and job security.

My father, who was the main breadwinner at home passed away a few months before I could start studying and my mum currently works in a clothing factory earning R750 a week. I grew up with my father barely at home because he was always at work to provide for us, it is one my biggest regrets that I was not able to support him financially before he passed, however this is something I think back to on tough days when tests aren’t going well or I am exhausted, and I

remember that I can do this and that he believes in me still. In 2020 when my dad got ill I promised him I would take care of my mother, and I believe CA will afford me this opportunity.
