Observatory Grounds Funding

Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time to visit our Back a Buddy campaign. Observatory Golf Course is a club steeped in history and from its early and humble beginnings in 1914, the club has grown and evolved into one of the more popular golfing destinations in the Central Gauteng region.

On the 10^th April 2023, a resident living across the road from Observatory Golf Course in Johannesburg, came onto the property and poured pool acid onto the 9th green. This, after a golf ball had accidentally been hit into his property. A few years ago the council removed a number of trees that had acted as a shield for the properties across the road. In order for the course to be operational as before we urgently need to replace the entire 9^th green. By nurturing and managing the course of over 100 years old, we are able to ensure that golfers get the product they deserve.
