OUTLIERS FOR NOAH

We are a group of Cape Town based runners who are striving to push ourselves beyond our regular physical limits, and we have a cause to raise funds for NOAH, Neighbourhood Old Age Homes.

The majority of us will be running the 2026 Two Oceans Ultra Marathon as well as the 2026 Comrades Marathon, both huge physical undertakings. We will be striving for as many silver medals as possible in both races, and your support for these efforts will give them meaning and purpose while helping to meet a critical need in our society.

Founded in 1981, NOAH was established in response to the exclusion of older people living in poverty. At a time when care meant institutionalisation and was inaccessible to many, a different model was created, rooted in community, dignity and independence.

Today, more than 1,000 older people across greater Cape Town are supported each year through NOAH’s integrated programmes. At the heart of the model are 11 communal homes, where around 110 residents live together in self-managed households that foster mutual support and reduce isolation.
