A "bucket list" item for me for some years now, I count myself lucky, indeed blessed, to be a registered 2024 Lighthouse2Lighthouse Lady!
Myself, and 99 other intrepid hikers, will be trekking...come hell or high water...across the 100km between Agulhus and Danger Point Lighthouses, over the course of 4 days and 3 nights - in support of a cause which lies close to my heart: The Overstrand Hospice.
"The Overstrand Hospice offers paliative care to terminal cancer patients throughout the Overstrand. The need for this service - where terminal cancer patients are looked after and supported in their own homes - is overwhelming. To this end, the Hospice needs to increase the size of their premises to accommodate an increase in the care that they are able to offer to patients."
Our aim is to raise R1,000,000.00 collectively, and I'll be most grateful for any contributions, donations and/or sponsorships as I have pledged to raise at least R5,000.00 myself.
