Plaaskind Padstal Flood fund
The village of de Vlught was hit very hard by the May 2026 flood and again by a second flood 2 weeks later. The storm did so much damage that it is hard to even know where to start fixing again.
Unfortunately with the second flood we had even more damage when the main road between de Vlught and Plett/Knysna took a knock with two big Washouts. A section of the road that has been heavily cracked and blown out by the heavy rain.
Now that means there is very littl to no traffic or income for the padstal. This unfortunately effects alot of people as we have 5 families working for us.
We have a couple of plans to try and get the road fixed as soon as possible and also to create specials to hopefully get people to support via the George/Avontuur road. However with the R62 closed between Joubertina and Kareedouw the flow of traffic from the EC has been cut-off aswell.
We are hoping to raise some funds to use for supporting the workers and fixing food damage. We so desperately want to help our surroundings neighbo...
