This is Koos van den Berg.
He is our father, husband and best friend.
We are in desperate need of your help, please.
A while ago Koos felt a small lump on the side of his neck. It felt just like a small little fat lump – no pain, not doing anything and it just sat there.
But it turned out to not be just a little swollen gland.
It turned out to be a cancerous mass that is growing into his parotid salivary gland.
After not showing any malignance for months – it started getting a little bit bigger and then just exploded into growth. We need to get it out and get him onto chemotherapy urgently.
While looking for someone to help, we found the most amazing doctor who is actively working with his team to help us secure funding. He is doing the operation for free and they have managed to get a large amount together from a few incredible sponsors to try and cover the rest of the expenses like the hospital and anesthesiology.
