My name is Ricardo Davids, and I am a police official reaching out to you regarding a GoFundMe campaign on BackaBuddy for my daughter, Lauren. She has Blount's disease, a rare growth disorder in children where the growth plates in her legs don't develop correctly. As a result, her right leg is approximately 28 mm shorter than her left, causing it to grow with a bow, leading to significant pain and discomfort.

In 2024, Lauren underwent a procedure to correct this issue. Unfortunately, in 2025, we discovered that the procedure was unsuccessful and worsened her condition. She now requires two additional procedures: the first to remove the previously implanted plates, and six weeks later, a second procedure to fit a frame to lengthen her leg and correct the bowing.
