Greetings all,
My name is Bongani Joy Baleka, a 5th year medical student at UCT and about to start my final year in 2025.
Growing up, I've always wanted to be a doctor and things have been going well so far. I've been funded by NSFAS for the past couple of years and things have been going well. Things took a turn this year when they introduced an accomodation cap of R50 000 and this affected a lot of students as accomodation costs are extremely expensive especially in the Cape Town region. With this, it led to me having a debt of R45 000 which makes me unable to register for my final year.
I would really appreciate any donations and reposts to settle the debt and make my dreams of becoming a doctor a reality.
