Help Pops (Pierre Pretorius) to get urgent medical attention for a serious Laryngeal Growth

 

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

I’m reaching out for your support to help our dear friend Pierre Pretorius (Pops), who is facing a serious health challenge. 

Pops is struggling to eat or drink and has started to lose his voice. His health is declining fast. This week, a CT scan revealed a large mass in his larynx (voice box), measuring 4.5 cm - causing severe narrowing of his airway and making it difficult to breathe.

Doctors suspect it may be a laryngeal carcinoma—a type of throat cancer, which will be confirmed after a biopsy. Either way, urgent surgery is needed to remove the growth before it becomes life-threatening.

Pops lives in Tzaneen and for the last few years has been living simply and peacefully self-sufficient on a farm with his partner Ro. He has never been one to ask for help and always doing his best to look after hims...
