After a tough journey with diabetes, foot injury and amputation, he is still in a lot of pain and still has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Due to this huge medical setback, he lost his job and has no foreseeable income for the near future. Unfortunately, he will not be able to look for or start new work until he has properly healed.
Along with losing his job, Dana also lost his home. Family kindly opened their doors to give him a place to stay, but the house itself is in terrible condition. People who had previously squatted there for years stripped and stole everything they could. The house currently has no water, no electricity, and the roof is leaking badly.
We are asking for any help possible during this difficult time. Financial donations will help with medical needs, daily living expenses, and rebuilding a safe place for him to recover. But if you are unable to donate money and would still like to help, any building or household items would also be deeply appreciated — solar lights, paint, roofing supplies, sinks...
