Help the Portland High Angling Club Cast Their Dreams Further

At Portland High School, we believe that learning doesn’t only happen inside the classroom. Sometimes the most powerful lessons are learned standing on the shoreline, rod in hand, surrounded by friends, patience, and the sound of the ocean.

This year we proudly started the Portland High Angling Club, a growing group of 30 passionate learners aged 13–18, both boys and girls, who share a love for fishing, teamwork, and the outdoors.

Our goal is simple:

To give learners a positive activity that builds discipline, patience, teamwork, and respect for nature, while keeping them engaged in something meaningful outside of school hours.

Our First Fishing Trip

Recently the club went on its very first outing to Mnandi Beach.
