*Help Priya Farm Glamping Open Its Doors*
Hi, I’m Roxanne Senekal, a single mom running a small permaculture farm in the Mossel Bay area.
Sadly, my partner passed away three years ago. He was the heart of the farm and family and loosing him left a huge gap. Since then it’s been one setback after another: a livestock disease outbreak means I can’t sell goats without a permit that costs more than the goats are worth. Heavy storms damaged the garden, water pump issues set back planting season, and rising fuel costs have made deliveries to George unaffordable. I’ve had to let go most of the farm staff.
We’ve had some help from family, friends, and community, and we’re really grateful for that. But we need to get completely on our feet and be sustainable on our own. Farming alone isn’t bringing in enough income to keep the farm going and cover my daughter’s needs.
The other day a lot of pine trees fell during a massive storm. Sponsors are currently helping us arrange and buy a chainsaw mill, it is in the process of being organised. Once it arriv...
