On the 20th May we got the call that changed our lives forever. We were told that there was smoke coming from our house and raced home to discover that our house was on fire. While we are still awaiting the official report, we believe it was faulty electrical wiring that started the fire in the ceiling.
While my fiance, myself and our three year old daughter watched our entire household burn to ashes, an uunexplainable feeling overcame us. We have absolutely nothing except the clothing on our backs.
Naturally, we are incredibly grateful to be unharmed but without house hold insurance,we are tasked with an unthinkable and daunting task of rebuilding our lives. We are needing everything from toothbrushes, clothing and beds.
We plead to anyone with even an extra R10 to share, to help us along this journey.
