Prosthesis for Military Veteran Frikkie
SAMVOZA (SA Military Veterans Organisation Southern Africa) assist thousands of forgotten hurting and needy SA Military Veterans of all walks of life, with the means to our disposal, with basic food, health care, medication, accommodation etc. www.samvo.international This is only one of the tragic stories of many struggling forgotten SA Military Veterans.
One of our Military Veterans Frikkie Van Breda (75) lives with his son in a one bedroom garden cottage. Frikkie’s son did have work to support them but in November/December 2023 things suddenly changed for them both.
Frikkie was cutting his toe nails when he accidentally cut the flesh of his right toe. As Frikkie does not have a medical aid he treated the toe himself for a few weeks but afterword it became badly infected and he went to Tambo Memorial Hospital for treatment. Dr's discovered he had gangrene and on the 6 February 2024 his big toe was surgically removed. The gangrene was not cured and on the 7 March 2024 they removed the...
