Provide a Home

As a single mother, my journey hasn't been easy. Seven years ago, I found the courage to leave an abusive marriage, taking my children with me to escape the violence. It was a terrifying decision, but I knew it was the only way to protect my children and give them a chance at a better life. Since then, we've faced many hardships, from moving from backyard to backyard to dealing with difficult landlords, but we've stayed together and kept our hearts strong.

The scars from that abusive marriage still linger, but they don't define us. My eldest daughter struggles to find steady work while raising her own child, her dream of becoming a beautician was also put on hold and my son, who had dreams of studying animation, also had to put his plans on hold after completing high school, to help support the family. It's heartbreaking to watch my children make sacrifices because of the choices I had to make. Yet, I see their strength, and it gives me the courage to keep pushing forward.
