Changing Lives, One Run at a Time

16 June 2024, I started an annual event called Qolora by the Sea Fun Run. It’s more than just a fun run , it’s a cross-country race based in the Eastern Cape, back home at the school I once attended.

The event is aimed at primary school learners up to the age of 14. The goal is to introduce children to sport at a young age, help keep them out of trouble, and contribute to the growth of our community. Many children only experience sport when they are instructed to do so at school. They often see athletes on TV winning medals, but getting the chance to experience that feeling themselves means so much more and can truly change their outlook.

With the support I’ve received so far, the event continues to grow. The vision is to eventually select some of the kids and bring them to Cape Town so they can experience the city and take part in races there.
