About This Campaign

Urgent Vet Bills & a Lifeline for Our 200 Shelter Residents and New Rescue Intakes
At Friends of Ferals, we never turn away cats in need, no matter how dire their situation or how stretched our resources become. This commitment has left us owing our vets a small fortune. Vet care is expensive, and we’ve reached a breaking point.
Right now, we owe our vets R52,000 for emergency treatments, surgeries, procedures and essential check-ups for the cats in our care. This debt is crippling our ability to save more lives. Without urgent support, we risk turning away cats in critical need or delaying care that could mean the difference between life and death.
Recent Stories of Hope, Success and Loss
Sammy, now a resident at shelter, came to us from a feral colony with both eyes severely infected. After numerous ophthalmologist appointments over a four-month period and over R5,000 spent on eye drops, Sammy had both eyes removed. He is the happiest, most delightful-natured cat.
