This Mandela Day, HospiVision is packing 499 dignity bags for patients in public hospitals across Gauteng and the Western Cape — soap, toothpaste, a toothbrush, Vaseline, shampoo and a face towel, in a bag they can keep. R67 covers the essentials in one bag. Help us reach all 499.
Imagine arriving at hospital with nothing.
Every day, patients are admitted to the public hospitals where HospiVision serves — often in an emergency, often with nothing but the clothes they came in. No soap. No toothbrush. No towel. For someone already frightened and unwell, these small things carry enormous dignity.
Since 1997, HospiVision has walked alongside patients in public hospitals, offering counselling, spiritual care and practical support. We have seen, over and over, what a simple care bag means to someone in a hospital bed: you are seen, and you matter.
This Mandela Day, we want to hand over 499 dignity bags across our partner hospitals in Gauteng and the Western Cape.
