Ramadaan 2026: Sitting With Sisters
Alhamdulillah, our honoured guest Ramadaan is approaching - a sacred month that softens hearts and revives our connection to Allah ﷻ and one another.
For many, Ramadaan is filled with family, shared iftaars, and spiritual companionship, but for some sisters, especially revert sisters, it can be a time of deep loneliness and isolation from community. Sitting With Sisters (SWS) intends to change that by creating intentional spaces of belonging and sisterhood filled with sacred remembrance so that no sister has to experience Ramadaan alone.
Our Vision for Ramadaan 2026
With Allah’s ﷻ help, SWS aims to expand its impact in Cape Town through:
1. Annual SWS Grand Iftaar (Last 10 Nights) includes:
- Communal iftaar
- Maghrib Solaah
- Supper
- Female-led Qur’an recitation
- Tarawih prayer
- A spiritually uplifting space designed for connection and reflection
