UPDATE AS OF 05/01/2024:
The Best Christmas gift EVER!
On Christmas day Ray got to embrace Ethan for the first time since he was admitted to hospital for pre-transplant preparation (October 2023). It has to be the best Christmas present ever!
Nadine’s parents have been caring for Ethan while Nadine has been at work as he has not been going to creche for a few weeks now, to allow him to be completely healthy, to not be an infection risk when seeing his dad. Ray and Ethan are spending time together when he has enough strength, this is the best mental medicine for both Ray’s further recovery, as well as for Ethan.
Raymond is gaining strength with each passing week. He’s becoming more mobile for longer periods of time, going for walks now in the evenings when he has strength, and eating more with each passing week.
He had a bone marrow biopsy in late December 2023 to determine the success rate of the new stem cell generation and grafting and received his results this week …….
