As we remember Nick Du Plooy, a kind-hearted gentleman and vibrant spirit, who sadly passed away on the 16th of May 2024, leaving behind the love of his life, Catherine, and their two beautiful boys, Daniel and Caleb, we have created this fund in his honour.
As some of you may know, Nick, who started his career scrubbing decks on boats at the Waterfront, went on to fulfil his dream of receiving his Master Unlimited Ticket just three years ago, giving him the authority to captain any vessel, of any size, anywhere in the world.
Nick was also just 10 hours away from receiving his pilot’s licence and had dreams that one day, his boys would experience the joy and freedom of flying.
With this fund, which will be put into a special account, it is our hope that Daniel can one day fulfil his dream of becoming a pilot, and Caleb can one day follow his dreams, whatever they may be, with their dad, their hero, proudly watching over them.
