Rex is a fighter.
Four years ago, my fiancé found him wandering the streets of Underberg. He was riddled with worms, burning with a high fever, and fighting for his life. The vet told us he didn't have long.
But Rex wasn't ready to give up.
Against all odds, he pulled through. He stole our hearts from the very beginning and quickly adapted to a life filled with love, comfort, and happiness. Watching him leave behind the hardships of his past and finally experience what it means to be loved has been one of life's greatest gifts.
Then tragedy struck.
Rex suffered a traumatic injury that resulted in the loss of his front right leg. Despite everything he had been through, he remained determined. He adapted to life on three legs far better than anyone expected and was simply excited to be mobile again.
Sadly, during his recovery, another setback followed. In his excitement to move around, Rex suffered a fall and dislocated his hip. Once again, our brave boy found himself facing a difficult battle.
