RFKI the first album

Hello, I am RFKI 

(my mother calls me Ilse)

I'm a 28 year old South African artist with a bit of a secretive nature. Many people know me by my pictures and art - but few know that I'm also a musician and songwriter. 

For the longest time, my music has been hidden. Played only in my room after midnight. 

Kept for close friends and backstage spaces. I've been lucky to play a few shows when asked, but never bold enough to pursue my music seriously.

Until recently, when I braved streaming some of my songs on Tiktok. Mostly to get over the fear of performing for an audience. 

To my surprise, many people stopped to listen.

It soon became a habit, and we started the Midnight Song club - a late night show for music lovers, artists, and musicians. 

Two months later , I have a community behind me. 

Supporting my music and songs and encouraging me at every point to record and share.

I've made a date with a producer I admire, and the first album recording is booked and fast approaching.
