I met Rian in 2009 and in 2012 we got married. He is not only the love of my life, but my best friend. My person…. Rian is the proud Father of Naldo and Alri. They are both married. He is also the proudest Grandfather of our beautiful angel Rilee, and his grandson will be making his big entrance in our beautiful blended family in Jan 2026.
In 2021, we received the shock diagnosis. Rian was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Unfortunately, the urologist that treated him did more damage than good. He received Brachytherapy and we were told by the doctor afterwards that there is no cause for worrying any further as Rian's cancer is under control and he is going to be fine. In 2022, (Literally 2 months after the doctors reassurance) things got worse in a drastic way. After a visit to his GP, there was found that his PSA count was through the roof and that the cancer was actually far more advanced as was thought. The cancer was now stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. Incurable. The urologist was in shock and said that the cancer spread extremely fast????? He also believed that...
