Richiey’s Recovery After a Tragic Shooting

You may have come across a viral video recently, showing a white South African man being shot in the leg during a robbery in the Kensington area of JHB Tragically, that man is our “Richiey”.

This was a devastating case of simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Richie was at a local hangout spot when armed robbers stormed the premises. Unaware of the unfolding chaos, Richie suddenly found himself face-to-face with one of the gunmen. In a moment of panic, he tried to flee—but the gunman opened fire.

The first bullet struck his leg, shattering both the tibia and fibula, the two bones in the lower leg. As he tried to turn and run, his injured leg gave way, causing him to collapse—thankfully, as the second bullet narrowly missed his head.
