On Friday, 6th September, 80% of our mother and stepfather’s home of 25 years, was reduced to rubble and ashes in a matter of minutes, due to a power surge in the main room.
The remainder, ironically, is now underwater after firefighters worked tirelessly to smother the blaze.
Our mother, Theresa Pienaar, and our stepfather, Deon Pienaar, watched in horror as flames —too high to reach and too late to stop, engulfed the ceiling. The physical reminders of a lifetime of memories, every item of clothing, and all their personal belongings, everything they own, is now left charred or drenched.
Sadly their cat, Stripes, didn't make it.
As a brother and three sisters, we’ve come together to support our parents and mourn what’s been lost. We now face the difficult task of helping them start over, and we’re asking for your support. Please donate to this campaign to help us rebuild, replace, and restore as much as we can.
