Hello everyone, 

Firstly I’d like to thank everyone for the overwhelming help and support that we have received thus far. It has been such a blessing and it has helped my parents so much. 

For those of you that know my dad, know him as a free spirit who has never been afraid to take on anything. He has lived his life to the fullest. Him and my mom have been adventurers and they truly are soulmates. 

Sadly, things have not gone to plan. After arriving in Cape Town, my dad set out to start treatment at Groote Schuur hospital to fix his leg. 
Initially we were lead to believe that his deteriorating health was due to complications with his leg. After a sudden, serious stomach perforation and emergency surgery, he was fitted with colostomy bag. It was during this time that doctors discovered our worst fear... cancer. 
The word cancer is never a word you want to hear in a sentence when it comes to your loved ones.
