In October a team of 10 Palestinian runners will travel to South Africa to take part in the Nelson Mandela Marathon in Cape Town.
We Run to Tell a Different Story
Right To Movement Palestine is a running community that uses the simple act of putting one foot in front of the other to reclaim the narrative, build solidarity, and show the world a Palestine defined by resilience, community, and hope — not just headlines.
This is about more than a race. South Africa’s own history of struggle, resilience, and solidarity makes this a powerful meeting of two stories — connected by resistance, movement, and hope.
But getting a team of runners from Palestine to the start line in South Africa is not simple. From visas and flights to accommodation, meals, transport, and the costs of racing abroad, there are significant barriers to making this journey possible.
