My name is Rudi Strydom Snr

My son, Rudi Jnr at just 28 years old,  was quickly becoming one of Africa’s most promising young safari and wildlife filmmakers. Passionate, multi talented, and endlessly curious, his life was tragically cut short, due to a bee stung, on Thursday, 3 July 2025, while doing what he loved most: being out in the bush, the wild bush… his happy place. Rudi was in his third year of safari productions and during this time have invested in his own career by constantly buy upgraded camera equipment with his earnings. His passing happened on a first day of the Safari in Northwestern Zambia, where he was filming for a Production Company a safari for American clients. As it was the first day of the safari, the clients, who have paid the production company and not my son, decided to takes my son's camera equipment back with them as collateral while they demanding their money back from the production company.
