From 28 June to 12 July 2026, Gavin Skevington will take on an extraordinary challenge: running the entire KwaZulu-Natal coastline, from Port Edward to the Ponto border post, over 15 consecutive days. No shortcuts. No rest days. Just hundreds of kilometres on tar roads, day after day!

Run The Coast is about pushing physical and mental limits to create real impact. Gavin has chosen to support five charities through this challenge. Project Rhino is honoured to be one of them.

Every day in KwaZulu-Natal, rhinos face ongoing threats from organised poaching. Standing between them and extinction are rangers, K9 units and conservation teams who operate under constant pressure. Project Rhino exists to support these teams with practical, on-the-ground resources that help keep both people and wildlife safe.

This run reflects that reality. There are no easy days in conservation work - just consistency, commitment and the choice to keep going. Run The Coast mirrors...
