Run2Heal Cape of Good Hope SPCA Two Oceans Marathon2024

Greetings lovely people

I have decided to run in the 2024 Total Sports Ultra Marathon Run2Heal campaign

Through every kilometer, every blister and every muscle cramp I want to help the SPCA to continue to care for and help animals. Therefore, I have set myself a target of raising R3000 or more , which will go directly to supporting the Cape of Good Hope SPCAs Animal Hospital which is the largest of it’s kind in the Western Cape.

During their last financial year, their animal hospital saw a total of 48,223 patients that translates to an average of 132 clinical cases seen per day, or 16.5 animals receiving care every hour. The organisation operates 4 mobile clinics that deliver primary veterinary care to the heart of communities in need. Via this service, an additional 16,583 animals received timely, essential veterinary treatment regardless of their owners' financial situations. Also over 5 500 animals were sterilised making a significant contribution to animal health via humane pet population control.
