Running for Change

Hello South African theatre and live entertainment industry!  A lot of you will know my friend Michael Somakepu already.  He is the man behind supplying the Durban theatre industry with Crew for set ups and load ins and strikes.  The muscle power that makes our work possible.    We call his company “M team” but when you get to know Michael like I do, you will soon realize that he is actually the “A team”.  Micheal is an avid runner and sports enthusiast.  He is genuinely one of the nicest humans I have ever had the honor of working with and being able to call my friend.   

Micheal has a dream which I just know we can help him to achieve.  He wants to help and change his rural home community of Port St John's.   He has already established a running club called “Port St John's Athletic Club” to help youngsters in this community lead healthier lives and to make good life choices.  The club is already affiliated to Athletics South Africa (ASA) and Athletic Transkei (ATRA).
