The 2025 South African Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics Group is on their way to the 41st Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Brazil, in August 2025. This competition is the world championships for the sport of rhythmic gymnastics and is promoted and organised by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). This will be the first time the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships are held in South America.
Our group hails from the Gold Reef Rhythmic Gymnastics Club in Johannesburg, and will be part of the more than 40 Protea gymnasts that the club has yielded over the years after competing at the World Championships.
Aaliyah Kuvido, Aimee Aslam, Ava de Bruin, Chloe Wolstenholme, Danni Vermaak and Jadi Malan all started rhythmic as tiny tots, and through years of dedication, discipline and passion, they have developed into elite athletes, to reach this ultimate milestone.
