Hey there, friends and supporters,

I’m rallying a campaign to help my son, Leon Coetzer, chase his Paralympic dream. He’s a dedicated para swimmer who’s already setting U14 South African para records, and with your support, he can take the next big steps toward representing South Africa on the world stage.

Before we dive in, here’s a quick note about Leon’s journey:

Leon was born with Poland syndrome, a rare congenital condition characterized by underdevelopment or absence of chest wall muscles on one side of the body and often involves breast muscle (pectoral) underdevelopment. This can impact shoulder stability and upper-body balance, which makes Leon’s dedication to swimming even more remarkable. With tailored training and support, he has built strength, technique, and resilience to excel in the pool.

Leon’s Poland syndrome means he faces unique physical challenges, but his determination and progress in para swimming show what perseverance can achieve.
