Hi everyone,
Some of you may know my brother Marc, the most kind, generous, humorous and lovable man. He has suffered for 26 years with Schizophrenia. He has been to hell and back over the years and has put immense strain on our family. He has been in the State System for his psychiatric needs for years, and this has proven to be OK.
However, he recently suffered a very bad psychosis and has been in a public Hospital for almost 6 weeks. The treatment there has been less than satisfactory and he has picked up pneumonia plus a staph infection in his blood, plus strep. His condition is dire and we are DESPERATE to save him. He has suffered more than any human should have to suffer in 10 lifetimes.
Our only hope is to get him transferred URGENTLY to a hospital with better care, where he has a proper physician who knows him. The hospital has said they will accept him, even in his bad psychiatric state.
