Scones, Skills & Second Chances

Simply Sweet Bakery is a home-based bakery that runs on a small oven, a lot of heart, and two young dreamers. We’re a young couple baking scones, biscuits, and jam tarts from our tiny kitchen—recipes passed down, made with love, and sold to neighbours who believe in us.

But we can’t grow here. And more importantly, we can’t help others grow here.

We need funding to scale up and professionalise our production process—moving from our home kitchen to a real bakery space, buying proper equipment, and turning our little operation into a youth employment hub. Across our community, too many young people are waking up with no job, no skills, and no hope.

With your support on BackaBuddy, we won’t just bake more scones, biscuits, and jam tarts. We will expand our offering to include artisan bread, specialty cakes, cinnamon rolls and donuts and further train unemployed youth in real baking skills—from dough preparation to food safety—giving them hands-on experience, confidence, and a paid pathway to work.
