Help my friend Sean beat cancer

Dear family and friends,

I have started this Back a Buddy to help my friend Sean, who has commenced treatment this week for Stage 4 cancer of the vocal cords, larynx and oesophagus.

Sean had no medical aid and so is reliant on government facilities, which so far have been fantastic in their care. Sean's treatment involves chemotherapy and radiation every weekday for the next 6 weeks. 

To receive treatment, he travels to Tygerberg Hospital from Somerset West daily (60km roundtrip) in an old (fingers crossed reliable) car that he has borrowed from a friend.

Sean is the most genuine person you will ever meet. He lives an uncomplicated life in Somerset West, working form home and walking into town for his needs.

Besides the shock of the diagnosis, it has come with extra expenses that Sean can't really afford. Extra costs have been medicinal supplements and now the petrol expense to travel to Tygerberg daily.

The target set out here will cover these extra expenses for the next 6 weeks. Sean will also receive hospital bills at a later stag...
