Shaun's oncology treatment support

This is honestly one of the hardest things I have ever had to write. I never imagined I would find myself asking family, friends, and even kind-hearted strangers for help in this way.

After being informed of the overwhelming costs involved in chemotherapy and radiation treatment, and without the privilege of having medical aid, I find myself turning to the people around us — and the kindness of their extended networks — in the hope of helping us carry this immense financial burden. Beyond the treatment itself, there are also the mounting costs of blood tests, biopsies, CT scans, and consultations that are necessary along the way.

I have already begun the process of entering the public hospital system and am currently waiting for an appointment with an oncologist this week. The plan is to map out the way forward and obtain a referral to the SOPD department at Stanger Hospital. However, as many know, there are waiting periods and strict processes within the state system. In the meantime, I am hoping to begin treatment at Oncocare with some ChemoRadiaion...
