In February 2024, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident that resulted in damage to my right orbital socket from hitting my head, leading to vision issues and possible brain trauma. Additionally, I experienced neck and shoulder pain, and the car was totalled.
Initially, the focus was on my vision problems and potential brain injury, so my shoulder pain was overlooked. After a week of extensive hospital tests, my other issues improved, but my shoulder pain persisted. I tried resting and using my arm normally, hoping it would get better, but it only worsened.
Despite rest, exercise, and various treatments like ice and heat, my condition didn’t improve. I visited my GP, who recommended a sonar scan. The results showed that I needed to rest my arm until I could consult a specialist. Due to financial constraints, I've continued to use my arm carefully while enduring significant pain. My shoulder has been frequently dislocating or locking, sometimes fully dislocating with minimal movement, causing severe discomfort and limiting my arm’s functionality.
