Singing People Together

5 singers from different areas in Cape Town will get the opportunity to travel to Lulea, Sweden, to share their love of South African music with people abroad. 

The invite came after Singing People Together did a workshop with Voce Armoniche Community Choir 5 years ago. They performed a rehearsal and the choir groups taught one another songs from their countries. The Swedish group were in South Africa for their biennial visit to certain choir groups.

This will be the third time that 5 learners from this group get the chance to spread their wings. They will undergo an intensive training and performing programme throughout the week. This includes presenting workshops on some of South Africa's traditional music. Singers will perform with Swedish choirs and groups from Haiti and the Sámi tribes.  

We are fundraising for visa costs, tour t-shirts and backpacks so that we may present ourselves as a unified group. 

The funds will be paid into the account of the organiser, Christine Bam, who will do all the administrative duties for the tour.&nbs...
