Slade's Midmar Mile

We are reaching out to ask for your support for a cause that is clost to our hearts.

Slade Davey, a Grade 9 student, will be swimming the Midmar in aid of The Bright Eyes Trust, with a fundraising goal of R5000. This swim s not just a sporting challenge for Slade, but a meaningful opportunity to give back. 

After living abroad for four years, Slade returned to South Africa and has quickly excelled in both competitive swimming and beach life saving. In a short space of time, he has shown resilience, determination, and a deep love for water. Along the way, he has faced many challenges, which has shaped his gratitude and perspective on life. 

One thing Slade is especially grateful for is something many of us take for grated - the ability to see clearly. His sister and brother both wear glasses, and this has made him acutely aware of how important vision is for learning, independence and confidence.
