Slay The Stigma

Hey there! My name is ADAM (‘The Drag Diva’ if ya nasty) and I am a 27-year-old Drag Artist and nightlife entertainer based in Johannesburg. For the last 6 years, I have had the honour of performing at the largest queer events in our country and the support that I have received from my community is a story all on its own. Together we helped break the glass ceiling for what it meant to be a South African Drag Queen and now, more than ever, I need help in giving back to the community that gave me so much.

With the abrupt cut to funding from USAID, it is more crucial than ever to stand together as a community to help lower the impact on the lives that desperately need our support.

The LGBTQIA+ community has been in a position of powerlessness before - we know, first hand, the devastation that HIV/AIDS can (and will) bring about when the needs of those affected fall on deaf ears. We NEED to amplify that voice. We NEED to act. We NEED to be loud.
