South African BRICS Youth Association

South Africa is full of talented, driven young people, however for many, access to opportunities remains out of reach. The South African BRICS Youth Association (SABYA) is a youth-led non-profit organisation committed to changing that reality. SABYA is registered with the Department of Social Development and holds Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status with the South African Revenue Service (SARS). SABYA can also issue section 18A certificate for donations. 
 

Through our programmes, we create pathways for young people, particularly those from underserved communities to access education, leadership development, and global platforms linked to BRICS and international cooperation. However, the demand for our programmes continues to grow far beyond our current capacity.

Each year, SABYA receives over 1,000 applications per programme, yet due to limited funding and resources, we are only able to accommodate between 50 and 150 participants. This means that the majority of applicants, many of whom are highly capable and motivated, are turned away, not...
