💛 Help Bring a Tiny South African Baby Home 🇿🇦
A South African family urgently needs our help.
What was meant to be a holiday in Dubai has suddenly turned into a situation no parent could ever have prepared for.
At just 24 weeks pregnant, a South African mom unexpectedly went into premature labour while visiting Dubai. Doctors are preparing the family for their tiny baby to arrive extremely prematurely and to require prolonged, specialist neonatal intensive care.
For privacy during this incredibly vulnerable time, Mom and baby have asked to remain anonymous. I am organising this fundraiser with their knowledge and permission.
Their baby faces a long fight
A baby born at only 24 weeks is extremely premature and may need to spend around 100 days in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) before being strong enough to leave hospital.
The family has been advised to prepare for NICU costs of approximately:
R36 000 PER DAY
